If you are planning a vacation to the resort destination of Puerto Vallarta, be sure to book a tour of our fantastic marine mammal facility in Nuevo Vallarta, where you can interact with some of the most mischievous critters you will ever meet, the Sea Lions. These sleek marine mammals are highly intelligent and enjoy playing with visitors to our campus. Sea Lions are the bewhiskered clowns of the ocean; they enjoy frolicking with humans and each other in our saltwater pools. You do not want to miss this opportunity to enjoy a personal interaction with these playful scamps.

The Sea Lion Encounter allows participants to learn about our sea lion family and actually meet them in a secure shallow-water environment. Since the water in this area only reaches an adult’s waist, it is a much more controlled place to engage with the sea lions as opposed to a deep water pool.  You’ll be delighted as they swim into this shallow pool and begin to show off with an array of acrobatic feats and mischievous tricks. These marine mammals have quite an impish sense of humor. The Sea Lions are also quite sociable with visitors and enjoy touching, cuddling, and even occasionally kissing people. The Sea Lions will remind you of large aquatic dogs because of how effortlessly they appear to interact with human beings.

This informative tour will not only allow you the rare opportunity to encounter a sea lion, but will also thoroughly enlighten you about these amazing animals. This is a fun-filled, thrilling, and educational adventure that will be sure to bring a smile to your face.   • Sea lion programs do not operate on Sundays
  • Cruise ship passengers must book directly with their cruise ship
  • Minimum age: 5 years old
  • Children 5-11 years old: Must be accompanied by a paying adult (16 or older)
  • Cameras are only allowed in the guest observation area
  • No jewelry or sunscreen allowed
  • Expecting mothers are restricted
